The top ten safest cities in the country are in! The list was presented by Security and Sales Integration Magazine and developed by WalletHub. The rankings of the cities were computed by 3 key dimensions that are listed as follows:

1. Home & Community Safety

2. Financial Safety

3. Natural Disaster Risk

Those dimensions were evaluated using 35 relevant metrics and then graded on a 100-point scale with a score of 100 being the highest and safest score. The cities metro areas were excluded, so this does not include suburban and rural surrounding areas of the areas listed.

The top 10 safest cities in the country are as follows:

1. Nashua, New Hampshire

2. South Burlington, Vermont

3. Warwick, Rhode Island

4. Columbia, Maryland

5. Gilbert, Arizona

6. Fargo, North Dakota

7. Lewiston, Maine

8. Plano, Texas

9. Portland, Maine

10. Brownsville, Texas

It is pretty interesting that Texas and Maine each have two cities that score the safest in America, based on the key dimensions listed above. If you are considering a relocation, these key dimensions and rankings are great factors to consider.
